Nashville International Airport (BNA) is located just eight miles southeast of downtown Nashville, making it the main air travel gateway for Music City and the broader Middle Tennessee region. Often referred to by its original nickname “Berry Field” (which inspired the BNA code), the airport blends Southern hospitality with cutting-edge upgrades. In 2023, BNA welcomed over 22 million passengers, and by April 2025, it’s fresh off the major BNA Vision transformation and diving into the ongoing New Horizons project, set to be completed by 2028.
The airport’s modern single terminal is organized into five gate areas: Concourses A, B, C, D, and the central T Gates, with 54 gates in total. Whether you’re visiting Nashville’s legendary music scene or catching a connecting flight, BNA delivers comfort, entertainment, and plenty of local flavor.
✈️ Terminal Layout Overview
The terminal is split into North and South sides, with concourses branching off from a central security area:
- North Terminal: Concourses A and B
- South Terminal: Concourses C and D
- T Gates: Centrally located right past the Grand Lobby, serving as a versatile extension of the terminal
Terminal Drive surrounds the building in a one-way loop with:
- Level 3 for departures
- Level 2 for arrivals
- Level 1 for ground transportation
Inside, you’ll find the brand-new Grand Lobby, featuring an expanded 17-lane TSA checkpoint, live music stage, and high ceilings filled with natural light. All concourses are connected post-security, making it easy to walk from gate to gate—except for the satellite section of Concourse C, which requires a quick shuttle ride.
